Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Old boat disposal in Graeagle often proves frustrating. There is usually limited access to Gold Lake docks or marinas for removal equipment. Our AAA Rousse marine team handles mast removal, gear and electronics stripping, and flybridge cutting when required. Most landfills won’t accept larger vessels in one piece, which means they need to be crushed or demolished first. Our crews handle the entire process safely and efficiently, so you don’t have to worry about the details. Sit back, AAA Rousse has it covered.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
In this mountain community, many removal calls come from vessels left too long at Graeagle Millpond, where aging watercraft sink into soft beds or become wedged against the bank. Others involve small fishing boats abandoned along the Middle Fork Feather River after floods shift the shoreline. Seasonal closures at Gold Lake push owners to defer pickups until the boat is beyond self recovery.
When ice and snowmelt damage hulls over winter, owners at Lake Davis often discover cracked fiberglass and flooded bilges by spring, requiring full extraction before launch season. Deteriorated vessels found along the Feather River corridor sometimes need rigging cut before the trailer can reach them. Remote access near Gold Lake Lodge adds crane and rigging time, which our crew plans for before the job begins.
