Facing Issues with an Old, Deteriorated, or Abandoned Boat
Removing an old or damaged boat in Gun Plain requires more than an unskilled workforce. It requires professionals. Boats taking up space in yards or parking lots along Briggs Road are difficult to move without damage. Crews use proper trailers and equipment to remove them efficiently. Local restrictions, complicated towing, and strict disposal procedures can hold up the process.

Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
In Gun Plain, boat removal for older vessels usually isn’t quick or easy. Boats left in backyards near the Gun River can be hard to extract without damaging property. The AAA Rousse crew will take down the mast, clear off the gear and electronics, and cut off the flybridge if we have to, to get the job done. Bigger boats usually need a little extra work, like crushing or demolition, before a landfill will accept them. We handle all of that on your behalf, so you can relax knowing everything’s being done the right way. We do the hard work and you enjoy the ease.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal calls in Gun Plain often begin at the Gun Plain Township boat launches and the docks along the Kalamazoo River, where aging vessels are abandoned after seasons of neglect. Owners dealing with sunken or waterlogged hulls near the Miner Lake access sites rely on professional crews who can coordinate with local conservation districts and handle tricky extractions from shallow or weedy shorelines.
Storage lot pickups are equally common, particularly around the Dumont Lake area and the private yards off 108th Avenue, where boats sit for years before owners seek removal. Pontoons, runabouts, and old fishing boats left in these spots often require flatbed transport and careful maneuvering. Allegan County residents use our service when a vessel is simply too deteriorated to trailer and too large to ignore any longer.
