Facing Issues with an Old, Deteriorated, or Abandoned Boat
Removing an old or damaged boat in Hiouchi requires more than an unskilled workforce. It requires professionals. Boats taking up space in yards or parking lots in Bertsch Oceanview are difficult to move without damage. Crews use proper trailers and equipment to remove them efficiently. Local restrictions, complicated towing, and strict disposal procedures can hold up the process.

Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
In Hiouchi, boat removal for older vessels usually isn’t quick or easy. Boats left in backyards along the South Fork Smith River can be hard to extract without damaging property. The AAA Rousse crew will take down the mast, clear off the gear and electronics, and cut off the flybridge if we have to, to get the job done. Bigger boats usually need a little extra work, like crushing or demolition, before a landfill will accept them. We handle all of that on your behalf, so you can relax knowing everything’s being done the right way. We do the hard work and you enjoy the ease.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boats moored along the Smith River or beached near Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park are among the most common removal calls in this area. Neglected fishing skiffs, flooded aluminum hulls, and abandoned kayak platforms left along the South Fork Smith River create hazards that require a professional crew with the right equipment to extract safely.
Access challenges are frequent here, with narrow lanes off Redwood Highway and tight clearances near the Hiouchi Bridge making standard tow rigs impractical. Vessels stored near Gregory Creek Campground or left on private riverside parcels after flooding seasons are a regular scenario, and Hiouchi owners rely on AAA Rousse to handle permits, cutting, and full disposal from start to finish.
