Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal requests in Kenton most often start on the Scioto River, where aging vessels become stranded along shallow bends near the McMain Bridge, or are left partly submerged after seasonal flooding. Owners also call us about deteriorating hulls stored at Hardin County Fairgrounds lots that have sat untouched for years and become a liability for the property holder.
A second common scenario involves rundown pontoons and jon boats left at Township Road 60 access points along Blanchard River tributaries north of town, where informal launches create disposal challenges. Flatwater ponds near Dunkirk Road farmsteads also generate calls when estate sales leave behind vessels with no registered owner and no clear path for legal disposal.
