Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Lake City residents along Kelleytown Road are discovering that an old, dilapidated boat past its prime isn't easy to get off their hands. The large size and heavy weight of many boats are definitely a challenge while transporting. Our crews remove masts, strip the boat of its gear and electronics, and cut off the flybridge if necessary. Because landfills don’t accept most large vessels in one piece, we manage the crushing or demolition so you don’t have to worry about it. We handle it all - you just relax.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal calls in this area often stem from vessels left sitting on trailers or in low lying yards that flood seasonally near Poston Lake and the surrounding wetlands. Owners along the Great Pee Dee River corridor also request hauls after storm damage leaves hulls partially sunk or stranded on muddy banks, making standard trailer removal impossible without specialized equipment.
Abandoned jon boats and flat bottom fishing vessels are a common scenario around Pudding Swamp, where overgrown storage lots and private ponds make access difficult. Crews also respond to requests from properties bordering Wyboo Creek, where older fiberglass hulls have deteriorated beyond repair and require cutting and eco conscious disposal to meet state environmental standards.
