Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
The reality is that boat removal is often much tougher than it seems for Lee Vining area residents, especially those hauling from Grant Lake's shoreline. Some older vessels often contain asbestos insulation. Our Teams take off the masts, clear out the boat’s gear and electronics and cut off the flybridge if needed. Larger boats usually need to be crushed or demolished before a landfill will take them - and our team takes care of that process. You just sit back - AAA Rousse takes care of the rest.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal around Lee Vining most often involves vessels left along the shores of Mono Lake, where rising and falling water levels strand hulls on exposed tufa flats. Owners also call us for deteriorated fishing boats pulled from Lundy Lake, where remote access and steep terrain make standard towing equipment impractical. Cold winters accelerate hull damage and complicate recovery efforts throughout the area.
A natural follow up to shoreline recoveries, many removal requests in Lee Vining come from June Lake Marina, where slips accumulate abandoned or non operational boats that owners can no longer register or insure. Grant Lake also generates calls when vessels left on trailers over multiple seasons become structurally unsound and need full dismantling and eco conscious disposal before the next boating season begins.
