Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
You might think it’s easy, but removing a boat in Longview can be tricky. Limited disposal sites are always a problem along the Sangamon River. Our crew dismantles the mast, removes all equipment and electronics from the vessel, and, if necessary, detaches the fly bridge. Because landfills don’t accept most large vessels in one piece, some prep work is required. We manage the entire process for you, so your boat is ready for disposal without any hassle. Boat removal made simple.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal needs around here often start with vessels left too long along the Embarras River, where shifting water levels and soft banks make recovery a careful operation. Owners who stored runabouts or pontoons near the Kickapoo Rail Trail corridor also call us when trailers rust out and boats become immovable. Aging hulls on neglected lots throughout Longview round out the most common calls we receive.
Kaufman Lake sees a steady share of removal requests, particularly for fishing boats and small motorboats that have deteriorated at informal launch areas. Farther out, vessels stored near the Salt Fork River corridor become a burden when owners can no longer maintain registrations or insurance. In each case our crew assesses access, handles all Champaign County paperwork, and completes the haul without leaving cleanup for the property owner.
