Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Unwanted boats in Maple Ridge off Nicholson Hill Road tend to be more complicated to remove than expected. Specialized cranes or barges may be required. Our team takes down the mast, removes the boat’s equipment and electronics, and cuts off the flybridge if needed. Since most landfills can’t take larger boats as they are, they need to be crushed or dismantled first. Don’t worry - our team takes care of that for you, making the whole process simple and stress-free. Relax - we’ve got it handled.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Residents of Maple Ridge most often need common boat removal services after a vessel is abandoned along the Thunder Bay River or found drifting near the shores of Thunder Bay. Storm damage, mechanical failure, and expired registrations are leading causes. Our team responds quickly to assess the situation, coordinate with local authorities, and arrange safe, fully compliant extraction with minimal disruption to surrounding waterways.
Other frequent calls come from property owners along Kissau Road whose waterfronts have accumulated neglected or sunken watercraft over several seasons. Vessels left unattended at the Ossineke boat launch also require periodic removal under Alpena County ordinances. Whether a boat is partially submerged, structurally compromised, or simply unwanted, our crew handles the full process from permitting through disposal or recycling.
