Facing Issues with an Old, Deteriorated, or Abandoned Boat

Getting rid of an unwanted boat in Marshall is a process that needs to be done by a professional crew. Storm-damaged boats are often unstable, partially submerged, or leaking fuel near Crooked Run. Only trained professionals with the right equipment can safely haul and dispose of them without causing more property or environmental damage. Local laws, transport logistics, and disposal steps often add time to the job.

Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal

Disposing of an old boat in Marshall isn’t as simple as it sounds. Permits may be required for towing or dismantling certain boats. AAA Rousse's crew handles all the dismantling in the Marshall Shops district: removing masts, stripping electronics and gear, and cutting the flybridge if required. Large boats often need to be destroyed before a landfill will take them. The AAA Rousse team will take care of everything for you.

Common Boat Removal Scenarios

Many boat removal calls in this area come from properties near the Rappahannock River headwaters, where owners store aging vessels on rural land for years before finally deciding to act. Boats left near Bel Air Farm or along Fiery Run Road often settle into soft ground and require specialized equipment to extract safely without damaging the surrounding terrain or water table.

Seasonal flooding along Goose Creek can leave watercraft stranded or partially sunk on private waterfront parcels, turning a straightforward removal into a complex recovery operation. Trailered boats sitting in fields near the Paris community or around the gaps of the Blue Ridge are another common call, as owners find them deteriorating beyond use after years of neglect and want a fully documented, eco conscious disposal.

Prompt, came out same day within a few hours of calling them. They were very careful while moving the junk. Friendly. Takes all forms of payment. I plan on calling them again. Mark and Christina came the next trip to remove more junk. They were very professional, quick, worked hard, and even swept the mess left from the junk on the garage floor.

This company is excellent! Removing this old 18 ft motor home was not an easy task. It had been sitting in the same spot for 26 years so needless to say it was literally falling apart and imbedded in the ground. The 2 men who removed it were so patient and professional taking care not to tear up the yard while doing so, not to mention it was one of our hottest days. They deserve 10 stars or more in my book!

The team did a wonderful job clearing out 2 of our office suites. Both suites contained about 40+ cubicles, 11 executives offices, at 3 conference rooms. It took about a week to get everything out of there but they were fair and always updated me throughout the day. They also sent pictures to make sure I knew they were filling the trailer up (they charge by the load).
