Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
The process of getting rid of a junk boat in McCoy is often more challenging than it first appears, especially for sites accessed via Dowd Junction. Boats partially sunk are extremely difficult to lift, float, and tow. Our work also includes removing masts, stripping out electronics, and, if necessary, reducing the flybridge. Larger vessels often require demolition or crushing before they can be disposed of at a landfill. We take care of this step for you, making the entire removal and disposal process smooth and stress-free. AAA Rousse - we do it all, so you don’t have to.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal along the Colorado River near McCoy often involves craft that have been stranded on rocky banks or wedged against the canyon walls after high water seasons. Owners who stored boats at the Pumphouse Recreation Site boat launch area sometimes return to find hulls too deteriorated to trailer safely. Burns residents also call for hauls of forgotten pontoons left on trailers in fields and gravel yards after years of neglect.
Further up the valley, watercraft abandoned near Sweetwater Lake require careful rigging and overland hauling across rough terrain before they reach a paved road. In Eagle County, the combination of high elevation, tight canyon roads, and remote storage areas makes professional removal essential. Crews experienced with this region know how to navigate the access challenges that come with recovering vessels from isolated Eagle County waterways and private ranch properties.
