Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Many boat removal calls in this area come from owners who stored vessels on trailers or in yards along the Pend Oreille River corridor and never returned to reclaim them. Watercraft left near Crescent Lake or the Ione Marina often sit through harsh winters until they are no longer seaworthy, prompting urgent removal requests each spring.
Sunken or partially submerged hulls along the shores of Gillette Lake and around the Gardner Cave area also generate frequent salvage work, since remote terrain makes extraction difficult without a specialized crew. Vessels abandoned near the Pewee Falls access area face strict county environmental rules, making professional documented disposal the only practical solution for owners.
