Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
The reality is that boat removal is often much tougher than it seems for Metz area residents pulling vessels off Clear Lake. Some older vessels often contain asbestos insulation. Our Teams take off the masts, clear out the boat’s gear and electronics and cut off the flybridge if needed. Larger boats usually need to be crushed or demolished before a landfill will take them - and our team takes care of that process. You just sit back - AAA Rousse takes care of the rest.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Steuben County's chain of lakes creates steady demand for boat removal around Lake James and Jimmerson Lake, where aging pontoons and deteriorating motorboats are routinely abandoned at docks or left half submerged along weedy shorelines. Seasonal property changes and estate sales frequently leave unwanted hulls behind, and the Pokagon State Park boat launch area sees its share of disabled vessels that owners can no longer trailer out safely.
On smaller inland waters like Crooked Lake and Snow Lake, neglected sailboats and jon boats accumulate at private piers after years of disuse, and their owners often discover hull rot or hazardous fuel leaks only when a neighbor or association flags the vessel. Clear Lake storage yards also generate removal calls when owners surrender boats that are too costly to repair, requiring full dismantling and eco conscious disposal handled by a professional crew.
