Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
In Middlebury, the process of boat removal can turn out to be unexpectedly difficult. Many marinas or property owners near Lake Quassapaug want old boats removed quickly, but the process often takes longer than expected due to weather, time sensitivity, towing restrictions, and more. Our crews remove masts, strip the boat of its gear and electronics, and cut off the flybridge if necessary. Larger vessels can’t go to a landfill unless we crush or demolish them. Let the AAA Rousse do all the work for you.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removals in Middlebury most often begin at private lakefront properties along Southford Road, where owners haul trailered vessels from backyard storage after the season ends. Crews also serve homes near the Mad River corridor, pulling aging pontoon boats and jon boats that have sat unused for years and need transport to a disposal or recycling facility.
A second common scenario involves boats stored on residential lots in the Middlebury Lake area, left behind after property sales or estate settlements. Teams coordinate with local haulers to move watercraft along Christian Road, connecting them to regional disposal points. Whether the boat is road worthy or derelict, crews handle loading, transport, and environmentally responsible drop off.
