Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal in Mims most often begins when owners haul vessels off the water along the St. Johns River, where seasonal flooding and storm surges leave craft stranded or damaged. Crews navigate surface roads like US 1 to reach waterfront properties, coordinating trailer pickups and crane lifts from private docks scattered along the marshy shoreline of this rural stretch of Brevard County.
Abandoned and derelict boats are another common call, particularly around the Tosohatchee Wildlife Management Area boundary near the St. Johns River floodplain. Many owners also store recovered hulls temporarily at the Brevard County Solid Waste facility off Adamson Road before final disposal or transport, making that corridor a familiar route for removal crews working the north Brevard region.
