Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Disposing of an old boat in Mosses off Hayneville Road isn't as simple as it sounds. Permits may be required for towing or dismantling certain boats. AAA Rousse’s crew handles all the dismantling: removing masts, stripping electronics and gear, and cutting the flybridge if required. Large boats often need to be destroyed before a landfill will take them. The AAA Rousse team will take care of everything for you.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal in Mosses often starts with vessels that have been sitting on private land for years, deteriorating in the humid Alabama climate. Owners near the Alabama River frequently need help extracting sunken or storm battered hulls from muddy banks. Flatboats and jon boats abandoned along Big Swamp Creek are among the most common calls our crews receive in this area.
Storage yard removals are another frequent scenario in Lowndes County, where aging pontoon boats and motorboats have been left unclaimed at rural properties off County Road 37. Trailers with rotted frames and boats with compromised hulls require specialized rigging before transport. Whether the vessel is on a lift, blocked on dry ground, or half submerged near a local boat launch, our team handles every stage of extraction and disposal.
