Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
What seems like a quick fix, getting rid of an old boat in Mount Pleasant, can become complicated. There is always a risk of spills into waterways or streets near the Maury County Industrial Park from fuel while transporting. Our AAA Rousse Team will take down the masts, remove all gear and electronics, and, when necessary, detach the flybridge. Because landfills don’t accept most large vessels as-is, we handle the crushing or demolition when needed. Let us do the heavy lifting - AAA Rousse has it handled.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removals around Maury County often start at the public boat ramp off of Sowell Mill Pike, where owners leave aging fishing boats and pontoons that have sat unused for seasons. The Duck River draws recreational boaters each year, and when those vessels deteriorate, our crews retrieve them from the water or from trailers parked along Carter Creek Pike. These recoveries make up a large share of our calls.
Flatboats and jon boats stored near Napier Field Road are another common removal scenario, often abandoned after flood damage along tributaries feeding into the Duck River watershed. We also respond frequently to calls from properties near Trotwood Park, where owners need sunken or waterlogged hulls cleared from low lying land before the next rainy season creates a bigger hazard.
