Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Removing an old boat in Nazareth near Hart Playa often turns out to be more complicated than expected. Boats may contain fuel, oil, and chemicals that must be drained. The AAA Rousse crew will take down the mast, clear off the gear and electronics, and cut off the flybridge if we have to, to get the job done. The majority of larger vessels are not permitted in landfills unless they undergo crushing or demolition. Trust the AAA Rousse professionals to take care of everything.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal around Nazareth most often involves vessels left sitting at the edges of playa lakes, particularly around Lost Lake and the shallow basin near Tierra Blanca Creek. Owners abandon aging aluminum fishing boats and small flat bottoms after seasons of infrequent use, and deteriorating hulls eventually become an environmental and property concern that calls for professional extraction.
A second common scenario involves boats stored on private ranch land bordering Blackwater Draw, where rutted caliche roads make towing difficult without the right equipment. Teams also respond to calls from Castro County farm properties near the Dimmitt Playa wetlands, where neglected pontoons and jon boats have sunk partially into soft soil and require rigging before any haul can begin.
