Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Getting rid of a boat in New Bern near the Kafer Park boat launch that's seen better days can be a real struggle. Unstable boat hulls create safety hazards during transport. Our AAA Rousse Team will take down the masts, remove all gear and electronics, and, when necessary, detach the flybridge. Bigger boats usually need a little extra work, like crushing or demolition, before a landfill will accept them. We handle that step carefully, making sure it’s done the right way for both you and the environment. Let AAA Rousse professionals handle it all.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
In New Bern, abandoned and derelict vessels turn up across a range of waterways and access points. Boats are commonly found drifting or grounded along Brice's Creek, where low traffic makes it easy for owners to walk away without notice. Vessels left at slips within Fairfield Harbour Marina also trigger removal requests when registration lapses and dock fees go unpaid for extended periods.
Shoreline deposits near Flanners Beach draw frequent complaints, particularly after storm surges push unanchored hulls onto public land in Craven County. Waterlogged skiffs and runabouts are also routinely found blocking access along Brices Creek Road boat ramps, where improper trailer abandonment leaves officials no choice but to initiate the formal derelict vessel removal process.
