Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
The process of getting rid of a junk boat in Newell is often more challenging than it first appears, especially for hulls recovered from Lower Klamath Lake. Boats partially sunk are extremely difficult to lift, float, and tow. Our work also includes removing masts, stripping out electronics, and, if necessary, reducing the flybridge. Larger vessels often require demolition or crushing before they can be disposed of at a landfill. We take care of this step for you, making the entire removal and disposal process smooth and stress-free. AAA Rousse - we do it all, so you don’t have to.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Tule Lake draws anglers and recreational boaters every season, and aging or storm damaged boats are regularly left behind on its shores and at nearby launch points. Vessels also go neglected along the Lost River, where shifting water levels can strand a hull in shallow mud. Owners reaching out after discovering a sunken or derelict boat at Lower Klamath Lake account for a large share of our local calls.
Clear Lake Reservoir sees seasonal use that leaves behind deteriorating aluminum fishing boats each fall when water levels drop and trailers are simply abandoned. Along the Newell Drain, small craft get wedged into banks and become a compliance concern for landowners. Hauling these vessels out often means navigating narrow rural routes like Stateline Road, which our crew handles routinely with the right equipment and local knowledge.
