Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
An old, junk boat in Petrey often becomes a stubborn problem to solve. Barnacles and marine growth add weight on vessels pulled from Patsaliga Creek, making the boat removal process more difficult. Our Teams take off the masts, clear out the boat’s gear and electronics and cut off the flybridge if needed. Most larger vessels are not accepted at landfills unless we crush or demolish them. Let us take care of it.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal around Petrey most often starts at Gantt Lake, where aging motorboats and pontoons sit waterlogged at private docks or half sunken near the shoreline. The Conecuh River corridor also sees frequent calls, with neglected hulls stranded on muddy banks or tangled in overgrown vegetation after years of disuse. Owners often discover the removal is far more complex than a simple trailer haul.
Patsaliga Creek brings its own challenges, as narrow access points and shifting water levels make conventional towing equipment nearly impossible to deploy without specialized rigging. In Crenshaw County, rural properties with no paved road frontage add extra difficulty, requiring crews to plan detours and use off road capable equipment. These conditions are exactly why residents rely on experienced teams who know the local terrain and waterways.
