Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Getting rid of a boat near Berkshire Boating Club in Pittsfield that's seen better days can be a real struggle. Unstable boat hulls create safety hazards during transport. Our AAA Rousse Team will take down the masts, remove all gear and electronics, and, when necessary, detach the flybridge. Bigger boats usually need a little extra work, like crushing or demolition, before a landfill will accept them. We handle that step carefully, making sure it’s done the right way for both you and the environment. Let AAA Rousse professionals handle it all.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal calls in this area often start at Pontoosuc Lake, where aging motorboats and pontoons are left tied to docks long after they stop running. Owners also contact us about vessels stored at Berkshire Highlands lots that have sat unused for years. Flood damage from the Housatonic River pushes many more removal requests each spring season.
Pittsfield State Forest boat launches see their share of abandoned trailered hulls that families no longer want to haul home. We also respond to calls from the Dalton Avenue corridor, where private storage yards hold forgotten sailboats and runabouts. Valentine Road neighborhoods generate removal requests for vessels parked in driveways or beside garages, often flagged by the city.
