Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Pleasant Grove residents near Quarry Hill Park are discovering that an old, dilapidated boat past its prime isn't easy to get off their hands. The large size and heavy weight of many boats are definitely a challenge while transporting. Our crews remove masts, strip the boat of its gear and electronics, and cut off the flybridge if necessary. Because landfills don’t accept most large vessels in one piece, we manage the crushing or demolition so you don’t have to worry about it. We handle it all - you just relax.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal calls in this area often start at the Zumbro River boat launch off County Road 4, where owners leave aging aluminum fishing boats after seasons of use on Zumbro Lake. Vessels stored along the Root River corridor also come in regularly, many with rotted hulls and failed trailers that require a flatbed haul rather than a standard tow. These water access removals make up a large share of local jobs.
A second common scenario involves boats left on private lots near the Oronoco Gold Rush grounds, often small fishing boats or pontoons that have sat for years without registration. Owners near Whitewater State Park frequently contact us about vessels stored in wooded areas where overgrowth makes extraction difficult. In both cases our crew brings the right rigging equipment to free the hull without damaging surrounding property.
