Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
The process of getting rid of a junk boat in Ponshewaing is often more challenging than it first appears, especially for loads coming off Conway Road. Boats partially sunk are extremely difficult to lift, float, and tow. Our work also includes removing masts, stripping out electronics, and, if necessary, reducing the flybridge. Larger vessels often require demolition or crushing before they can be disposed of at a landfill. We take care of this step for you, making the entire removal and disposal process smooth and stress-free. AAA Rousse - we do it all, so you don’t have to.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removals around Ponshewaing most often begin with vessels left sitting at the Alanson Public Boat Launch or tied up along the Inland Waterway. Owners discover deteriorating hulls after a season away, and the narrow channel passages of the Crooked River make towing out a waterlogged boat a careful, step by step operation that requires specialized equipment and local knowledge.
A second common scenario involves pontoons and runabouts stored overseason at facilities near Conway Township that become structurally unsound and can no longer be trailered safely. Teams also recover partially sunk vessels from the shallows of Burt Lake, coordinating with Emmet County marine patrol to meet environmental guidelines before the hull is lifted, stabilized, and transported for proper recycling or disposal.
