Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Getting rid of a boat in Portland that's seen better days, hauled out near Dunkirk Harbor, can be a real struggle. Unstable boat hulls create safety hazards during transport. Our AAA Rousse Team will take down the masts, remove all gear and electronics, and, when necessary, detach the flybridge. Bigger boats usually need a little extra work, like crushing or demolition, before a landfill will accept them. We handle that step carefully, making sure it’s done the right way for both you and the environment. Let AAA Rousse professionals handle it all.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal calls in this part of western New York often start with vessels left deteriorating along the Lake Erie shoreline near Cattaraugus Creek, where seasonal storms push hulls against the bank and owners lose track of aging runabouts and pontoons. The Westfield boat launch also sees abandoned trailers and waterlogged craft that require prompt extraction before the ramp season opens.
Inland, Portland residents storing boats near Long Point State Park frequently contact us when a vessel becomes unsalvageable after a hard winter. Slip holders at Chautauqua Marina and owners with craft dry stored along the Chautauqua Gorge corridor also call for full removal and eco conscious disposal once a hull is deemed beyond repair.
