Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
What seems like a quick fix, getting rid of an old boat in Posey, can become complicated. There is always a risk of spills into waterways or streets from fuel while transporting near the Auxiliary Dam Launch Ramp. Our AAA Rousse Team will take down the masts, remove all gear and electronics, and, when necessary, detach the flybridge. Because landfills don’t accept most large vessels as-is, we handle the crushing or demolition when needed. Let us do the heavy lifting - AAA Rousse has it handled.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal around Posey most often starts at Lake Isabella, where owners need waterlogged or storm damaged hulls pulled from the shoreline or lifted off submerged trailers. The Kern Valley Airport area sees seasonal storage situations where trailered vessels sit idle for years. Boaters also call us when a craft breaks loose from a slip at Lake Isabella Marina and drifts into restricted zones requiring urgent extraction.
Inland removal jobs frequently involve vessels left on private parcels near the Kern River, where overgrown banks and narrow access tracks make standard tow trucks impractical. The Auxiliary Dam Launch Ramp area is another common site, as low water years strand boats on exposed gravel bars beyond normal trailering reach. In Tulare County, abandoned pontoons and aging ski boats on rural lots near Wofford Heights round out the typical call list for our crews.
