Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Disposing of an old boat in Powhatan Point near Captina Creek isn't as simple as it sounds. Permits may be required for towing or dismantling certain boats. AAA Rousse’s crew handles all the dismantling: removing masts, stripping electronics and gear, and cutting the flybridge if required. Large boats often need to be destroyed before a landfill will take them. The AAA Rousse team will take care of everything for you.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal near Powhatan Point often begins at the Muskingum River boat ramp or along the banks of Wegee Creek, where aging hulls get stuck in silt or become partially submerged after high water events. Owners of storm damaged or deregistered vessels frequently call us after a seasonal flood leaves their craft grounded and unusable on Powhatan Point shoreline.
Storage removals are another common call, with boats pulled from yards near Captina Wildlife Area or trailered in from launch sites off Belmont County roads that see heavy recreational traffic. Whether a pontoon has sat idle behind a home since Belmont County last issued its tag or a motorboat needs cutting at a local dismantling site, our crew handles every step without the owner lifting a hand.
