Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal calls in this corner of the Eastern Shore often start on the water itself. Vessels left to deteriorate along the Chesapeake Bay shoreline or sunk at Messongo Creek become hazards for neighboring watermen and recreational boaters alike. Owners dealing with an abandoned hull tied to a dock at Pungoteague Marina find that professional salvage is the only practical path to clearing the slip and meeting state compliance deadlines.
On land, the picture is equally common. Storage lots near Nandua Creek fill up with trailered boats whose owners have moved away or whose titles have lapsed, leaving facilities needing a documented removal. Old wooden deadrise workboats pulled from the Pocomoke Sound and left in overgrown yards present a similar challenge, requiring a crew that can cut down a mast, strip electronics, and haul the hull away in full compliance with Accomack County disposal rules.
