Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
In Rawson, the process of boat removal can turn out to be unexpectedly difficult. Many marinas or property owners near the Hancock County Fairgrounds want old boats removed quickly, but the process often takes longer than expected due to weather, time sensitivity, towing restrictions, and more. Our crews remove masts, strip the boat of its gear and electronics, and cut off the flybridge if necessary. Larger vessels can’t go to a landfill unless we crush or demolish them. Let the AAA Rousse do all the work for you.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Abandoned and derelict vessels turn up in several ways around Rawson. Owners sometimes leave boats on trailers at the McComb Boat Launch for weeks beyond any permitted period, requiring coordinated removal by the county. Others are found partially submerged along the Auglaize River after seasonal flooding pushes them off private banks, making waterway recovery equipment necessary for safe extraction.
Storage situations create additional challenges in Hancock County. Boats left on unpaved lots off Pandora Road often lack registration and traceable owners, triggering the standard abandoned property process before towing can begin. Along Riley Creek, small craft become wedged against culverts after high water events, and our removal team coordinates with property owners and waterway officials to clear them promptly and legally.
