Facing Issues with an Old, Deteriorated, or Abandoned Boat

Getting rid of an unwanted boat in Reserve is a process that needs to be done by a professional crew. Storm-damaged boats are often unstable, partially submerged, or leaking fuel along Pony Creek. Only trained professionals with the right equipment can safely haul and dispose of them without causing more property or environmental damage. Local laws, transport logistics, and disposal steps often add time to the job.

Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal

Disposing of an old boat in the Iowa Point area of Reserve isn't as simple as it sounds. Permits may be required for towing or dismantling certain boats. AAA Rousse’s crew handles all the dismantling: removing masts, stripping electronics and gear, and cutting the flybridge if required. Large boats often need to be destroyed before a landfill will take them. The AAA Rousse team will take care of everything for you.

Common Boat Removal Scenarios

Boats in Reserve most often need removal after seasonal flooding along Turkey Creek, where rising water can strand small craft far from their original moorings. Owners also frequently abandon aging vessels near Pony Creek Lake when repairs become too costly. In both cases, our team coordinates with local authorities to assess, haul, and properly dispose of unwanted boats quickly and safely.

Storm runoff along Independence Creek sometimes pushes unregistered boats onto private property, creating liability concerns for landowners in Brown County. Vessels left near the Sabetha Boat Launch without valid registration tags are another common call we receive. Whether a boat is lodged in a creek bank or simply left forgotten on a trailer, our crew handles every removal with the right equipment and full compliance.

I was cleaning out a family member’s house that bordered on being a hoarder. I called AAA Rousse and they were able to promptly meet my junk hauling needs on two separate occasions. The men providing the service were friendly and professional. They definitely made the process easy.

The family owned company was wonderful! They came in and undertook a very difficult project without complaining and they did it at the price that they quoted to us originally. They were friendly patient hard-working and did a great job! We would not hesitate to call them again and we would recommend them to anyone we know.

This company is excellent! Removing this old 18 ft motor home was not an easy task. It had been sitting in the same spot for 26 years so needless to say it was literally falling apart and imbedded in the ground. The 2 men who removed it were so patient and professional taking care not to tear up the yard while doing so, not to mention it was one of our hottest days. They deserve 10 stars or more in my book!
