Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Getting rid of a boat in Rockport near Mill Pond that's seen better days can be a real struggle. Unstable boat hulls create safety hazards during transport. Our AAA Rousse Team will take down the masts, remove all gear and electronics, and, when necessary, detach the flybridge. Bigger boats usually need a little extra work, like crushing or demolition, before a landfill will accept them. We handle that step carefully, making sure it’s done the right way for both you and the environment. Let AAA Rousse professionals handle it all.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal calls in this area frequently involve vessels left idle along the shores of Straitsmouth Island passage or tied to moorings in the outer anchorage off Avery Ledge. Owners upgrading after a rough fishing season, estates settling a waterfront property, and buyers clearing a slip before a new delivery account for most of the work we see in Rockport each year.
A significant share of removals involve fiberglass hulls stored inland at the Rockport Recreation Area lots or trailered to the Old Garden Beach ramp and abandoned mid process. Storm damage from nor'easters accelerates hull deterioration quickly in Essex County, pushing owners to schedule removal rather than costly repairs. Our crews coordinate with harbormaster staff and local tow operators to clear these vessels efficiently.
