Facing Issues with an Old, Deteriorated, or Abandoned Boat
Boat removal services in Rome must be carried out by professionals to be done right. Boats with seized engines are heavy and difficult to transport on Salmon Lake. Professionals use winches, cranes, and tow rigs to remove them safely. Strict local ordinances, difficult towing arrangements, and disposal laws can slow removal efforts.

Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Rome boat owners are discovering that boat removal and disposal takes more time and effort than they realized. Shallow waters or sandbars near Castle Island Camps in Rome can make boat transport very difficult. AAA Rousse’s crew handles all the dismantling: removing masts, stripping electronics and gear, and cutting the flybridge if required. Because landfills generally do not take large vessels as-is, extra steps like crushing or dismantling are required. We manage this process from start to finish, ensuring your boat is prepared and accepted without hassle. Stress-free boat removal? Leave it to us.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
In Rome, vessels left unattended on McGrath Pond are among the most common removal cases our team handles. Owners sometimes abandon watercraft after a season ends, leaving boats adrift or half sunk near the shore. Trailers left along Whittier Road without registration create additional hazards. Our crew coordinates with local authorities to document, recover, and properly dispose of these neglected boats quickly and safely.
Watercraft that wash into Serpentine Brook during high water events present a unique recovery challenge, requiring specialized equipment to navigate shallow channels. Seasonal camps ringing Flying Pond in Kennebec County frequently report derelict boats left by previous renters. In each case, our licensed removal specialists assess hull condition, drain fluids to prevent contamination, and arrange responsible recycling or disposal for every recovered vessel.
