Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
The reality is that boat removal is often much tougher than it seems for Round Top area residents, from properties near the Hudson Athens Lighthouse shoreline to inland storage lots. Some older vessels often contain asbestos insulation. Our Teams take off the masts, clear out the boat’s gear and electronics and cut off the flybridge if needed. Larger boats usually need to be crushed or demolished before a landfill will take them - and our team takes care of that process. You just sit back - AAA Rousse takes care of the rest.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal near Round Top often begins on the Catskill Mountain ponds and small reservoirs tucked behind Windham Mountain, where vessels are abandoned after a season or left to deteriorate through winter. Owners near Colgate Lake frequently contact us when a canoe or motorboat sinks in shallow water or becomes wedged against a rocky bank, requiring professional extraction before environmental damage sets in.
On the Hudson River corridor, hulls docked at Athens Boat Club or beached along the Greenport Conservation Area shoreline account for a steady share of our calls. Storms push vessels off moorings, and owners discover weeks later that their boat is half submerged or lodged against a dock. Our crews handle full recovery, hazardous material containment, and compliant disposal for every scenario.
