Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Disposing of an old boat in Sharon isn’t as simple as it sounds. Permits may be required for towing or dismantling certain boats along Bartletts Ferry Road. AAA Rousse’s crew handles all the dismantling: removing masts, stripping electronics and gear, and cutting the flybridge if required. Large boats often need to be destroyed before a landfill will take them. The AAA Rousse team will take care of everything for you.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removals near Sharon often involve aging or storm damaged vessels left along the shores of Clarks Hill Lake or beached at the Soap Creek Landing boat launch. Owners dealing with sunken hulls or deteriorating pontoons at these sites rely on professional crews to handle the haul out safely, avoiding fuel spills and shoreline damage that can come with amateur attempts.
Many removal calls in Sharon come from rural properties where boats have sat idle for years in overgrown lots off Greensboro Ferry Road or on trailers near Rocky Branch. These land based removals often involve vessels with rotted trailers, seized wheels, and corroded frames that require cutting and dismantling on site before transport can even begin.
