Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Getting rid of a boat in Sims near Toisnot Millpond that's seen better days can be a real struggle. Unstable boat hulls create safety hazards during transport. Our AAA Rousse Team will take down the masts, remove all gear and electronics, and, when necessary, detach the flybridge. Bigger boats usually need a little extra work, like crushing or demolition, before a landfill will accept them. We handle that step carefully, making sure it’s done the right way for both you and the environment. Let AAA Rousse professionals handle it all.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Common boat removal situations in Sims often involve vessels left along Stony Creek or drifting into shallow stretches of Swift Creek after flooding. Owners sometimes abandon aging jon boats or flat bottoms when water levels drop unexpectedly, leaving hulls grounded on sandbars. Wilson County residents are encouraged to report these cases promptly so waterways remain clear and navigable for everyone.
Boats are also found stranded near Moccasin Creek access points or drifting toward the banks of Buckhorn Reservoir following storms. In these cases, owners may have lost anchor lines or simply neglected vessels after the season ended. Removal coordinators work with property owners to document, tag, and haul out abandoned watercraft before they create hazards or environmental concerns along local shorelines.
