Facing Issues with an Old, Deteriorated, or Abandoned Boat

Removing an old or damaged boat in Simsbury Center near Tariffville Gorge requires more than an unskilled workforce. It requires professionals. Boats taking up space in yards or parking lots are difficult to move without damage. Crews use proper trailers and equipment to remove them efficiently. Local restrictions, complicated towing, and strict disposal procedures can hold up the process.

Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal

In Simsbury Center, boat removal for older vessels usually isn’t quick or easy. Boats left in backyards near Rainbow Reservoir can be hard to extract without damaging property. The AAA Rousse crew will take down the mast, clear off the gear and electronics, and cut off the flybridge if we have to, to get the job done. Bigger boats usually need a little extra work, like crushing or demolition, before a landfill will accept them. We handle all of that on your behalf, so you can relax knowing everything’s being done the right way. We do the hard work and you enjoy the ease.

Common Boat Removal Scenarios

Along the Farmington River, recreational boaters frequently leave aging vessels on trailer pads or tied to private banks long after they stop running. The swift currents near Tariffville Gorge make retrieval especially challenging, and owners often call for professional removal when a boat has sat through several winters near Stratton Brook State Park.

Stored boats at private lots near Rainbow Reservoir also create common removal calls, particularly when owners sell their property or clear land around Massacoe State Forest. Hauling along narrow neighborhood roads off Iron Horse Boulevard requires careful planning, and our crew coordinates the right trailer and equipment to complete the removal without damaging surrounding property.

I was cleaning out a family member’s house that bordered on being a hoarder. I called AAA Rousse and they were able to promptly meet my junk hauling needs on two separate occasions. The men providing the service were friendly and professional. They definitely made the process easy.

The family owned company was wonderful! They came in and undertook a very difficult project without complaining and they did it at the price that they quoted to us originally. They were friendly patient hard-working and did a great job! We would not hesitate to call them again and we would recommend them to anyone we know.

This company is excellent! Removing this old 18 ft motor home was not an easy task. It had been sitting in the same spot for 26 years so needless to say it was literally falling apart and imbedded in the ground. The 2 men who removed it were so patient and professional taking care not to tear up the yard while doing so, not to mention it was one of our hottest days. They deserve 10 stars or more in my book!
