In Soso, many boat removal calls come from landowners along Bouie River bottoms where vessels are left after floods strand them far from any paved road. Saturne Creek access points also see abandoned aluminum fishing boats and flat bottoms that sit forgotten after hunting seasons end, requiring a professional crew with the right rigging to extract them safely without damaging the surrounding property.
Deteriorating vessels stored near the Dry Creek Wildlife Management Area are another common scenario, as owners often haul boats deep into wooded lots and later lose interest or ability to retrieve them. The Bogue Homo area likewise generates calls when old cabin cruisers and pontoons left on private lake frontage become a liability, prompting families to reach out for licensed removal and documented disposal before local ordinances require fines.
