Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Stetson boat owners are discovering that boat removal and disposal takes more time and effort than they realized. Shallow waters or sandbars in Stetson around Peltoma Ridge can make boat transport very difficult. AAA Rousse’s crew handles all the dismantling: removing masts, stripping electronics and gear, and cutting the flybridge if required. Because landfills generally do not take large vessels as-is, extra steps like crushing or dismantling are required. We manage this process from start to finish, ensuring your boat is prepared and accepted without hassle. Stress-free boat removal? Leave it to us.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
In Stetson, many boat removals involve watercraft left at the public boat launch on Wassookeag Lake or beached along the Kenduskeag Stream corridor. Aging fishing boats and storm battered aluminum hulls are the most common jobs. Owners often discover hull rot or seized engines after years of storage, making professional extraction the only practical option in this rural landscape.
Seasonal camps along Peaked Mountain Pond and trailside properties near the Piscataquis border frequently yield abandoned pontoons and jon boats that have not moved in a decade. Waterlogged hulls sunk in shallow coves and derelict vessels left on wooded lots create disposal challenges that require cranes and flatbeds. AAA Rousse coordinates permits and eco conscious scrapping for every scenario.
