Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
What seems like a quick fix, getting rid of an old boat in Sundown, can become complicated. There is always a risk of spills into waterways like Sulfur Draw or streets from fuel while transporting. Our AAA Rousse Team will take down the masts, remove all gear and electronics, and, when necessary, detach the flybridge. Because landfills don’t accept most large vessels as-is, we handle the crushing or demolition when needed. Let us do the heavy lifting - AAA Rousse has it handled.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
In the flat reaches of the South Plains, boat removal calls often come from landowners who stored watercraft after seasons on Double Lakes or White River Lake and never arranged proper disposal. Years of West Texas wind, sun, and blowing caliche leave hulls cracked and frames twisted. Retrieval from rural properties near Yellowhouse Canyon requires heavy equipment and experienced crews who know how to work on open range terrain.
A second common scenario involves vessels hauled inland years ago after use on Mackenzie Reservoir or along Yellow House Draw drainage impoundments, then left on trailers that have since rusted solid. Owners in Sundown also contact us after estate sales leave behind boats with no title, no trailer, and no clear plan. AAA Rousse handles documentation, loading, and eco conscious disposal from start to finish, with no abandoned wreck left behind.
