Facing Issues with an Old, Deteriorated, or Abandoned Boat
Taking care of unwanted boats in Tunis demands experience, equipment, and a trusted boat removal team. Partially submerged boats along Rocky Creek require pumps, cranes, or heavy-duty trailers to remove. Professionals have the equipment and expertise to handle this without further sinking or spills. Strict Tunis and Texas disposal laws, towing challenges, and local codes can slow down the process of boat removal.

Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Tunis residents near the Overlook Park ramp are discovering that an old, dilapidated boat past its prime isn't easy to get off their hands. The large size and heavy weight of many boats are definitely a challenge while transporting. Our crews remove masts, strip the boat of its gear and electronics, and cut off the flybridge if necessary. Because landfills don’t accept most large vessels in one piece, we manage the crushing or demolition so you don’t have to worry about it. We handle it all - you just relax.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Common boat removal situations in Tunis often involve vessels left unattended at area waterways after a season of use. Owners sometimes abandon aging boats along the banks of Beaver Creek or leave trailerless craft sitting in the shallows near Lake Bryan. Burleson County officials typically coordinate with property owners and state agencies to assess ownership and arrange lawful removal before the vessels become hazards.
Other scenarios involve boats that drift or are intentionally grounded near the Little Brazos River after flooding events push them off course. Watercraft found lodged against riprap near Somerville Dam present additional recovery challenges due to limited access. In each case, removal crews must document hull identification numbers, post notices, and follow Texas Parks and Wildlife procedures before towing or salvaging the abandoned vessel.
