Facing Issues with an Old, Deteriorated, or Abandoned Boat
Removing an old or damaged boat in Unity requires more than an unskilled workforce. It requires professionals. Boats taking up space in yards or parking lots along Fairgrounds Road are difficult to move without damage. Crews use proper trailers and equipment to remove them efficiently. Local restrictions, complicated towing, and strict disposal procedures can hold up the process.

Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
In Unity, boat removal for older vessels usually isn’t quick or easy. Boats left in backyards off Holt Road can be hard to extract without damaging property. The AAA Rousse crew will take down the mast, clear off the gear and electronics, and cut off the flybridge if we have to, to get the job done. Bigger boats usually need a little extra work, like crushing or demolition, before a landfill will accept them. We handle all of that on your behalf, so you can relax knowing everything’s being done the right way. We do the hard work and you enjoy the ease.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removals around the Mahoning River and Michael J. Kirwan Reservoir are among the most common calls the crew handles, with owners dealing with vessels left stranded after flooding or long stretches without use. Trailers sink into soft banks, hulls settle into mud, and what looks like a simple pickup turns into a full recovery operation requiring specialized equipment and permits.
Inland storage lots near the Columbiana County Airport and along the edges of Guilford Lake see steady turnover as owners upgrade or walk away from aging boats. Pontoons and fishing boats left in open yards deteriorate fast through Ohio winters, and by spring many are beyond self salvage. The crew steps in to extract, dismantle, and properly dispose of whatever remains.
