Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Wautec residents along the Klamath River often discover that old boat disposal is anything but simple. Fiberglass disposal is challenging and limited in facilities. Our crews dismantle masts, clear the boat of gear and electronics, and remove the flybridge if required. Most large boats need to be crushed or dismantled before a landfill will accept them. We’ve got it covered - let AAA Rousse take care of everything for you.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Along the Trinity River and near the Hoopa Valley Tribal Fisheries access points, watercraft that have sat beached or anchored for seasons are among the most common removal calls we receive. Vessels left along gravel bars after high water events or tied to informal moorings near Tish Tang Campground often become waterlogged and structurally unsound, making professional extraction the only safe option.
Further out toward the Klamath River confluence, abandoned aluminum skiffs and older fiberglass fishing boats are regularly flagged by landowners and tribal resource managers. Boats stored on private parcels off State Route 96 also turn up as junk removal jobs when registration lapses and owners no longer want the liability, and our crews handle both water hauls and dry land extractions for all of Humboldt County.
