Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Parting with an old boat in Weldon off Clinton Lake isn't always a simple task. EPA guidelines for fuel, oil, and hazardous waste must be followed. Our work also includes removing masts, stripping out electronics, and, if necessary, reducing the flybridge. Most larger vessels cannot be accepted at landfills unless they are crushed or demolished. Let our AAA Rousse experts handle the entire process.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal calls in Weldon most often involve vessels left at Weldon Springs State Park, where aging hulls are pulled from the launch ramp or dragged off low ground after seasonal flooding. Owners also reach out after boats sit too long along the Salt Creek corridor, where soft banks and tight access make standard towing impossible without specialized equipment.
A second common scenario involves crafts stored on private land near Friends Creek that have deteriorated past the point of sale or donation. In De Witt County, waterlogged aluminum fishing boats and rotted fiberglass hulls are also retrieved from informal staging areas near the Weldon Springs State Recreation Area boat ramp, where the terrain demands a careful, coordinated extraction approach.
