Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Disposing of an old boat in Wixom off Beck Road isn't as simple as it sounds. Permits may be required for towing or dismantling certain boats. AAA Rousse’s crew handles all the dismantling: removing masts, stripping electronics and gear, and cutting the flybridge if required. Large boats often need to be destroyed before a landfill will take them. The AAA Rousse team will take care of everything for you.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal calls in Wixom most often start with vessels sitting unused at Loon Lake Marina or along the shores of Dawson Lake, where owners realize a neglected hull has become a liability. Waterlogged decks, failed bilge pumps, and cracked fiberglass make DIY hauling unsafe, and our crews regularly respond to these waterfront removals with the right trailers and rigging.
A second common scenario involves boats stored on private lots near the Huron Valley Rail Trail corridor, where vessels are left after owners relocate or a storage agreement lapses. We also handle removals from Noble Road storage yards, where boats sit on failing stands or blocks. In each case our team coordinates permits, transport, and certified disposal so nothing is left behind.
