RV and Motorhome Disposal in Shelby, Iowa

Has your RV been sitting unused for years on a lot near the Nishna Valley Trail, collecting rust and taking up space you could put to better use? Maybe you held onto that old travel trailer thinking you would fix it up and head out for a summer, and now it has become a permanent fixture near the old Shelby County Fairgrounds. Properties along Railroad Street and throughout this area deserve to be cleared properly, with the paperwork handled so liability does not follow you after the unit is gone. AAA Rousse manages the title release and disposal documentation whether the camper is parked on Main Street or anywhere else in Shelby. From a large motorhome to a small pop up camper sitting on a gravel pad, we handle the heavy lifting so you do not have to deal with it another season.

Campers & RVs We Haul Away

RVs end up stranded for all kinds of reasons: a breakdown on Highway 59, a change in plans, or simply years of neglect that turned a weekend camper into an eyesore. A lot of campers in this area were bought for trips to Mosquito Creek Lake or afternoons at Shelby City Park and have not moved since the last outing. AAA Rousse hauls away pop up campers, oversized motorhomes, fifth wheels, and every other type of RV, from properties near the Pottawattamie County Fairgrounds to anywhere else in Pottawattamie County. A unit sitting on Oak Street or tucked behind a rural outbuilding gets the same prompt, no stress service. AAA Rousse has operated responsibly since 2006 and provides documents releasing you from any ongoing liability once the unit leaves your property.

Common RV Removal and Disposal Scenarios in Shelby, IA

RV removal in this part of Iowa often starts with a neglected travel trailer left in a side yard or a motorhome that changed hands during a property sale and never left the lot. The rolling terrain typical of the Loess Hills means driveways can slope in ways that make positioning a tow vehicle a real challenge, and that is worth planning for before the crew arrives. Properties in older sections of town sometimes sit close to the street, leaving very little room to maneuver a large rig, even without the added difficulty of a unit that will not roll under its own power. A motorhome tucked near the Lewis and Clark Monument corridor or anywhere else in the region gets the same careful evaluation before we commit to a removal plan.

Rural parcels along the Botna River and low areas near Keg Creek sometimes include wooded back lots where campers sit for seasons at a time, developing roof leaks, soft flooring, and mold that makes them unsafe to enter. AAA Rousse handles units that will not start, trailers with flat or missing tires, and RVs that have sat through water intrusion or minor fire damage. Severely deteriorated units sometimes need extra preparation before they can be loaded safely, and our crew evaluates each situation before the haul begins so there are no surprises on removal day.

RVs stored on flat gravel pads or open lots along West Broadway are generally straightforward to reach, though every job still requires a clear exit route for the tow vehicle and trailer. Units parked near outbuildings or along narrow stretches off Elm Street take more coordination, especially when a non running coach has to be winched before it can move at all. Condition, accessibility, and whether the unit rolls all shape how removal is handled, and a quick assessment up front keeps the job moving smoothly from first contact to final haul.

Prompt, came out same day within a few hours of calling them. They were very careful while moving the junk. Friendly. Takes all forms of payment. I plan on calling them again. Mark and Christina came the next trip to remove more junk. They were very professional, quick, worked hard, and even swept the mess left from the junk on the garage floor.

This company is excellent! Removing this old 18 ft motor home was not an easy task. It had been sitting in the same spot for 26 years so needless to say it was literally falling apart and imbedded in the ground. The 2 men who removed it were so patient and professional taking care not to tear up the yard while doing so, not to mention it was one of our hottest days. They deserve 10 stars or more in my book!

The team did a wonderful job clearing out 2 of our office suites. Both suites contained about 40+ cubicles, 11 executives offices, at 3 conference rooms. It took about a week to get everything out of there but they were fair and always updated me throughout the day. They also sent pictures to make sure I knew they were filling the trailer up (they charge by the load).

Is the service environmentally friendly?

Yes. AAA Rousse disposes of every unit in compliance with applicable environmental standards, properly draining fluids and directing salvageable materials to licensed recyclers rather than letting them end up in a landfill.

Yes. We work with landlords and property managers regularly. The property owner or authorized manager typically needs to be present or provide written authorization, and we handle the rest.

In addition to RVs, we remove boats, trailers, and other large unwanted vehicles. If you have multiple items on the same property, let us know when you call and we can often bundle the work into a single trip.

Yes. A salvage title does not disqualify a unit from removal. We handle the paperwork on our end and simply need whatever title documentation you have available at the time of pickup.

Yes. Usable components such as appliances, frames, and mechanical parts are directed toward recycling or salvage when possible. This keeps material out of the waste stream and is part of how we operate responsibly.

Just call us at 712-430-1910 or book online. We will ask a few quick questions about the unit's size, condition, and location near Mosquito Creek Lake or wherever it sits, then give you a straightforward quote with no hidden charges.
