Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Getting rid of a boat in Telluride near the Pandora Mill Site that's seen better days can be a real struggle. Unstable boat hulls create safety hazards during transport. Our AAA Rousse Team will take down the masts, remove all gear and electronics, and, when necessary, detach the flybridge. Bigger boats usually need a little extra work, like crushing or demolition, before a landfill will accept them. We handle that step carefully, making sure it’s done the right way for both you and the environment. Let AAA Rousse professionals handle it all.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal around here most often involves vessels stored well above river level, left on trailers near the San Miguel River corridor or tucked into mountain property lots after a short boating season on Trout Lake. Owners dealing with failed equipment or expired registrations call us to haul sailboats, pontoons, and motorboats out from steep or narrow access points that standard towing rigs cannot easily reach.
Alta Lakes draws boaters each summer, and when those trips end, watercraft sometimes get abandoned on the shoreline or left on Forest Road 632 pullouts until winter makes retrieval nearly impossible. We also handle removals tied to estate settlements and property sales along the Illium Valley, where aging hulls and deteriorating trailers have sat through multiple freeze and thaw cycles and require careful dismantling before transport.
