Facing Issues with an Old, Deteriorated, or Abandoned Boat
Boat removal services in Songer must be carried out by professionals to be done right. Boats with seized engines are heavy and difficult to transport near Harter Slough. Professionals use winches, cranes, and tow rigs to remove them safely. Strict local ordinances, difficult towing arrangements, and disposal laws can slow removal efforts.

Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Songer boat owners are discovering that boat removal and disposal takes more time and effort than they realized. Shallow waters or sandbars near the Clay County Fairgrounds boat storage area in Songer can make boat transport very difficult. AAA Rousse’s crew handles all the dismantling: removing masts, stripping electronics and gear, and cutting the flybridge if required. Because landfills generally do not take large vessels as-is, extra steps like crushing or dismantling are required. We manage this process from start to finish, ensuring your boat is prepared and accepted without hassle. Stress-free boat removal? Leave it to us.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal along the Little Wabash River is one of the most frequent calls we receive in this area. Vessels that have sunk in shallow bends or drifted onto private banks need professional extraction equipment. Owners who launched at the Omega boat launch and lost control of a disabled craft often find the hull resting far from any road. Clay Lake properties also see aging pontoons left on deteriorating lifts year after year.
Clay City Lake sees steady demand for removal of storm damaged and neglected boats left at seasonal docks after owners stop returning. Watercraft abandoned along Harter Slough present access challenges because the banks are soft and narrow, requiring specialized rigging before any haul can begin. Crews often reach these sites by trailering equipment down Louisville Road and staging near the closest dry land before winching the vessel free.
