Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
Alexandria residents in Bringhurst often discover that old boat disposal is anything but simple. Fiberglass disposal is challenging and limited in facilities. Our crews dismantle masts, clear the boat of gear and electronics, and remove the flybridge if required. Most large boats need to be crushed or dismantled before a landfill will accept them. We’ve got it covered - let AAA Rousse take care of everything for you.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Boat removal requests in this area often stem from vessels left idle along the Bayou Rapides corridor or on private land near the Old River Control Structure. Owners storing aging motorboats and pontoons at Colfax Ferry Road landings frequently find hulls deteriorating beyond repair. When registration lapses and docking fees mount, professional removal becomes the clearest path forward.
Seasonal flooding along Spring Bayou and the low lying stretches near Samtown can strand vessels that were never meant to be permanent fixtures. Sunken or half submerged hulls near the Riverbend District create compliance concerns for landowners and local agencies alike. Our crews respond to these varied conditions, handling everything from straightforward driveway pickups to challenging waterlogged recoveries without delay.
