Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
In Damascus, the process of boat removal can turn out to be unexpectedly difficult. Many marinas or property owners along the Mahoning River want old boats removed quickly, but the process often takes longer than expected due to weather, time sensitivity, towing restrictions, and more. Our crews remove masts, strip the boat of its gear and electronics, and cut off the flybridge if necessary. Larger vessels can’t go to a landfill unless we crush or demolish them. Let the AAA Rousse do all the work for you.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
Residents near Damascus often deal with abandoned or unregistered boats left along Eagle Creek or trailered to Meander Creek Reservoir and simply forgotten. Common removal scenarios include vessels left after a sale falls through, storm damaged hulls beached along the bank, and boats stranded when owners relocate. Columbiana County coordinates pickup once ownership is confirmed and paperwork is filed.
Boats towed to Mosquito Lake or Portage Lakes for a season and never retrieved represent another frequent situation. Waterlogged hulls, vessels with expired registration, and craft left in no wake zones all trigger removal requests. Owners are encouraged to contact the county before abandonment becomes a citation, keeping local waterways clear and accessible for everyone.
