Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
An old, junk boat in Maple Ridge near the Centennial Park Boat Launch often becomes a stubborn problem to solve. Barnacles and marine growth add weight, making the boat removal process more difficult. Our Teams take off the masts, clear out the boat’s gear and electronics and cut off the flybridge if needed. Most larger vessels are not accepted at landfills unless we crush or demolish them. Let us take care of it.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
In Maple Ridge and the surrounding Mahoning County area, boat removal needs often arise after storm seasons when vessels are left stranded along Sandy Creek or found partially submerged near local fishing spots. Owners sometimes abandon older watercraft when repair costs exceed the boat's value, leaving them to deteriorate on private shorelines or public access points around Lake Glacier.
Seasonal drawdowns at Deer Creek Reservoir frequently strand boats that were not properly retrieved before water levels dropped, requiring coordinated removal efforts. The Palmyra Boat Launch area also sees occasional abandoned trailer and vessel situations, particularly after summer weekends when owners fail to return. Mahoning County residents can request assistance to ensure safe, legal, and environmentally responsible disposal in all these cases.
