Safe and Responsible Boat Disposal
The reality is that boat removal is often much tougher than it seems for Delacroix area residents, especially those docked near Ycloskey. Some older vessels often contain asbestos insulation. Our Teams take off the masts, clear out the boat’s gear and electronics and cut off the flybridge if needed. Larger boats usually need to be crushed or demolished before a landfill will take them - and our team takes care of that process. You just sit back - AAA Rousse takes care of the rest.
Common Boat Removal Scenarios
In the marshlands surrounding Delacroix, abandoned and storm damaged vessels are a common sight along the Forty Arpent Canal and in the shallow reaches of Bayou La Loutre. Owners frequently call us after hurricanes leave boats stranded in the marsh, submerged at private camps, or wedged against spoil islands where standard tow trucks simply cannot reach.
Recreational boaters who keep vessels at Sweetwater Marina or launch from the Yscloskey public ramp often find that aging hulls deteriorate quickly in the brackish environment of St. Bernard Parish. We regularly retrieve sunken skiffs and rotting pontoons from these waters, handling all permits and eco conscious disposal so owners can clear their slips and camp docks without the hassle.
